Michael C. Mattison is a graduate of SUNY Brockport with a Bachelor of Science in Finance. He began his financial services career in 1996 and joined Research Financial Strategies in 2011. 

Mike is a retirement distribution specialist and helps his clients first accumulate and then efficiently utilize their assets to fund retirement. He is recognized as a leader in the industry and has trained more than 2,000 financial professionals across the country.

The proximity to Washington DC provides an abundance of Federal Employees who have a unique menu of benefits. To help coordinate these benefits during employment and at retirement, Mike maintains the designation of Chartered Federal Employee Benefits Consultant (ChFEBC).

Mike was raised in the Western NY on Chautauqua Lake. In 1985 he moved to the Washington, DC area. He is married to Kathy and they live in Gaithersburg, MD with their two children.  

Mike enjoys playing sports, baking bread, cooking and traveling. He is also a frequent blood platelet donor at the American Red Cross.
